
The project is expected to process up to 200 tons of unsorted waste daily. The Italian technology includes the production of environmentally friendly alternative fuel, which is planned to be used in cement plants in the republic. In addition, the agreement addresses important aspects such as the reclamation of overflowing landfills and the creation of a safe medical waste disposal system in state medical institutions.
Ravshanbek Sabirov, head of the National Investment Agency, emphasized that Kyrgyzstan needs prompt and effective solutions that can be adapted to local conditions. The participation of representatives from city administrations and the Ministry of Health in the discussions confirmed their readiness to implement the project: they have already begun searching for sites for the installation of pilot projects. The Italian side also committed to training local personnel and ensuring transparency in financial processes, making this cooperation an important step towards the development of a "green" economy in Kyrgyzstan.
