In recent days, prices for cattle in the Batken region have increased by 10–15 thousand soms. This data was obtained during a price monitoring conducted by a Turmush correspondent.

Additionally, livestock breeders report that the prices for sheep and goats have risen by an average of 3–4 thousand soms. The prices for livestock depend on the age, breed, and condition of the animals.

Local residents attribute the price increase to the rising costs of compound feed, fodder, and hay. Especially during the winter period, when the costs of maintaining livestock increase, this directly affects market prices.

At the "Torgovy" livestock market, located in the Ak-Turpakskiy ayil aimak of the Kadamjai district, a three-year-old Aberdeen-Angus bull was valued at 280 thousand soms on February 4, 2026. The live weight of the animal was 700 kilograms. According to the owner, if the bull is fed for another 2–3 months, its weight could reach one ton.

According to local butchers, there is a noticeable increase in demand for meat. At the "Torgovy" market, which takes place every third Wednesday of the month, an average of 12–13 bulls are sold each day.
