Jewelry legalization in Kyrgyzstan

The State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic has drawn taxpayers' attention to the opportunity to legalize remaining jewelry items that have been imported or produced but lack primary documents. This initiative also provides exemption from liability and tax obligations.

The agency emphasizes that this measure is aimed at regulating the jewelry market, creating more transparent conditions for businesses, and reducing the administrative burden on conscientious taxpayers.

During the legalization period, reduced rates for assay fees are in effect. For jewelry made of gold, platinum, and palladium, both domestically and internationally produced, including used items, the fee is 10 soms per unit. For silver items, this amount is 8 soms.

To take advantage of the exemption from liability, taxpayers need to register an electronic document in the electronic invoice system by March 1, 2026.

To do this, they must log into the system, go to the "Acquisition" section, select the DPBU subsection, click "Add," and provide information about the precious jewelry items. The main details will be generated automatically, and only the product part of the document will need to be filled out.

The tax service emphasized that electronic documents cannot be corrected and cannot be deemed invalid, so all data must be entered accurately and without errors.
