At the plenary session of the Jogorku Kenesh, held on February 5, 2026, deputy Akylbek Tumonbaev raised the issue of the remaining balance of funds in the Ministry of Construction's account for 2025. In response, Minister Nurdin Oruntaev stated that there would be no funds left at the end of the year.

“If we have a surplus, we send it back to the Ministry of Finance,” the minister explained. Tumonbaev also inquired about the allocated funds under the categories of "capital investments" and "government securities, bonds".

Oruntaev noted that there are about 1 billion soms in government securities allocated for the construction of facilities. However, the deputy clarified that there are approximately 2.2 billion soms in government securities belonging to the Ministry of Construction in various banks across the country.

“Since construction is not taking place, these funds are not being used, and the Ministry of Finance has to pay interest since 2023. You claim that you have only 1 billion soms in your account, but in reality, you have 2.2 billion soms, and the Minister of Finance will confirm this,” the deputy added.
