This bill aims to protect the social interests of the population and ensure food security. It provides for temporary state regulation of prices for key goods and services in cases where other measures may negatively affect competition.
The state will be able to impose price controls for up to 90 days a year, with the possibility of extension in accordance with legislative norms. This applies to:
- socially significant goods and services, the list of which will be determined by the cabinet of ministers;
- goods and services offered by dominant players in the market.
