- On February 9, a seminar was held at the EEC, where the details of the entry into force of the Temporary Trade Agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and Mongolia were discussed.

According to the Chairman of the EEC Board, Bakytzhan Sagintayev, once the agreement comes into effect, customs duties on 367 product categories will be reduced or completely eliminated for participants.

This opens up mutual access to markets with preferences for businesses in the EAEU countries and Mongolia. The document takes into account current interaction formats, including digital solutions, which is especially important for small and medium-sized enterprises.

“By cooperating with Mongolia, we are moving to practical steps. This agreement is business-oriented and aims to simplify and reduce the cost of trade, creating more stable conditions for entrepreneurs and promoting the expansion of business ties,” noted the head of the EEC Board.

On June 27, 2025, in Minsk, during a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, the Temporary Trade Agreement between the EAEU member states and Mongolia was signed.
