At the plenary session of the Jogorku Kenesh, held on February 11, 2026, deputy Medina Kairylbekova expressed dissatisfaction regarding the lack of responses to the questions that were promised to her in writing.
She noted that she had repeatedly reminded Deputy Minister of Agriculture Zhanibek Kerimaliev about her request, but there had been no reaction.
Kairylbekova also reported on the problems faced by farmers in the Manas district of the Talas region, who were unable to sell their harvest of bell peppers. "All these peppers are just lying along the road now," she added.
In response, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture Bakyt Torobaev denied the information, stating that farmers were simply sorting the peppers before sending them to the market.
"I am not aware of who provided you with such data, but I am sure it is incorrect," Kairylbekova replied.
During the meeting, information from the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic was also discussed regarding preparations for spring field and economic activities in 2026 in the country.
