According to the agency, this initiative provides jewelry owners the opportunity to eliminate liability and obligations as a tax agent. Considering that only 16 days are left, it is important not to miss this chance.
Reduced rates of assay fees apply to legalized items:
- For gold, platinum, and palladium jewelry produced in the country, as well as for imported items, including used ones and those received from individuals or legal entities, the rate is 10 soms per unit;
- For silver jewelry produced in the country, as well as for imported items, including used ones and those received from individuals or legal entities, the rate is 8 soms per unit.
To legalize the items, it is necessary to submit the relevant documents through the electronic system ESF on the website. During the submission process, the name of the item, its assay, weight, quantity, and price must be specified. After entering the data, taxpayers should contact the UGN to undergo testing and receive a stamp on the jewelry.
It is worth noting that the voluntary patent has been canceled, and now operations with precious metals are subject to a simplified taxation system with a rate of 0.25 percent, while using cash register equipment.
