According to the department's data, the total volume of the harvested crop amounted to 5990.1 tons, which is 1% more than in 2024. The average yield was 20.5 centners per hectare.
To support the sector, a quarantine phytosanitary inspection of grape seedlings imported from Serbia was conducted from January to May 2025. During this inspection, varieties free from viruses were selected, both technical and table varieties.
“In the Leilek district of the Batken region, projects for the development of viticulture are also being implemented. In the rural area of Jany-Jer, cooperatives are engaged in the cultivation of seedlings of the 'avatar' and 'kishmish' varieties. In addition, a new nursery is being established, which will specialize in the production of seedlings of the 'avatar', 'munkas finger', and 'kishmish' varieties,” the message stated.
