According to preliminary results for 2025, the volume of agricultural production in Kyrgyzstan will amount to 459.7 billion soms, which is 62.9 billion more compared to 2024. This indicates significant growth in the agricultural sector.
Impressive progress is also observed in the processing industry: the volume of production reached 104.7 billion soms, corresponding to a growth of 130.1%. Currently, Kyrgyzstan exports over 60 types of agricultural products to 80 countries, while simultaneously meeting domestic needs for 6 out of 9 key food products.
The government of the country has set a strategic goal to increase the depth of raw material processing. If this indicator currently stands at about 7%, it is planned to increase it to 25% by 2030, and to 50% by 2040. As part of the implementation of these plans, 385 new processing enterprises will be opened by 2030, with 75 starting their operations as early as 2026.
The development of the sector will rely on improving the material and technical base in seed production and breeding livestock, the introduction of agro-clusters, and the effective use of preferential loans. Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized the importance of a scientific approach and the creation of a continuous education system for farmers, which will allow transforming the agricultural sector into a highly developed and technologically advanced branch of the economy.
