- Negotiations have begun in the Moscow district of the Chui region between the Trade Representation of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Turkey and an investor to establish a factory that will produce equipment for drip and sprinkler irrigation systems. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy.

The production complex is planned to be located on a land plot of 10 hectares in the Ak-Suu rural district.

The investor for this project is the Turkish company AKPLAS PLASTIK SANAYI VE TICARET A.Ş., which specializes in manufacturing solutions for agricultural irrigation and water infrastructure. The company’s product range includes drip and sprinkler irrigation systems, polymer pipes (HDPE/PE, PVC), fittings, as well as equipment for water filtration and separation.

The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic is responsible for preparing and supporting the agreement with the investor.

The implementation of this project is expected to create local production of equipment for water-saving irrigation systems, which should enhance the efficiency of water resource use and reduce irrigation water losses through the application of modern technologies in the agricultural sector.

In addition, the launch of the factory, according to preliminary estimates, will create new jobs, contribute to the development of related services (logistics, installation, maintenance), and help establish a production base with export potential.
