This year, spring in Kyrgyzstan arrived significantly earlier — the start of fieldwork began two weeks ahead of the usual schedule. This was reported by Turatbek Idrisov, head of the department for implementing decisions in crop production and horticulture at the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Food Processing, during a broadcast on "Birinchi Radio."

Idrisov noted that the warm winter contributed to the earlier onset of spring. Farmers were advised to prepare in advance for the season by implementing water-saving measures, tilling the soil, and purchasing seeds and fertilizers.

However, in the south of the country, there are delays in the sowing campaign due to unfavorable weather conditions — it is raining there.

In particular, in the Osh region, 500 hectares of wheat and barley have already been sown.

According to the ministry's data, the seed supply level is 87 percent. There is a sufficient amount of seeds in the warehouses of large agricultural companies and seed-growing farms, and 28,000 tons of fertilizers have been imported, with supplies continuing.

For conducting the work, 7 million liters of fuel and lubricants have been allocated at a preferential price of 74 soms per liter. Fuel can be obtained through the district departments of agricultural development from the material reserves warehouses, the official added.
