According to forecasts, by 2026, the agricultural sector of Kyrgyzstan will require 182.8 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers. The breakdown of needs is as follows:
- 96.2 thousand tons — nitrogen fertilizers (needed for spring fieldwork);
- 71.5 thousand tons — phosphorus fertilizers;
- 15.2 thousand tons — potassium fertilizers.
As of January 20, 2025, 21.5 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers have been imported into the republic. Currently, private companies have 19.2 thousand tons of finished products in stock for sale.
In accordance with Order No. 124 of the Department of Chemization, Plant Protection, and Quarantine, the accounting of the import of mineral fertilizers through border phytosanitary points is being introduced, both by road and rail transport.
