This draft law was initiated by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The Deputy Minister of Justice, Almazbek Zarylbek uulu, reported that the main goal of the initiative is to eliminate legal gaps regarding electronic money, to recognize it as an object of civil rights, and to ensure the possibility of inheritance in accordance with current legislation.
During the discussion, Deputy Ulan Primov drew attention to the proposed amendments to Article 22 of the Civil Code concerning electronic money, as well as to the amendments affecting the law on payment systems in relation to the issuer of electronic money.
Deputy Dastanbek Jumabekov raised the issue of the legal definition of the term "electronic money."
