- A change in the budget balance of Kyrgyzstan is expected in the coming years, according to the EFSR report published in December 2025.

Analysts note that the budget surplus, which showed positive dynamics in 2024 and 2025, will gradually decrease thereafter.

In particular, in 2024, the surplus was 2.3% of GDP, and by the end of 2025, it is expected to grow to 2.6%. However, according to forecasts from EFSR experts, this figure will decrease to 1.6% in 2026, to 1.5% in 2027, and finally, in 2028, it will reach 0.8% of GDP.

The authors of the report emphasize that the record budget surplus of Kyrgyzstan in 2025 was mainly achieved due to an increase in non-tax revenues.
