The Prime Minister discussed ongoing projects in Kyrgyzstan with the Vice President of JICA.

The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev, held a meeting with the Vice President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Yoshifumi Yoshikawa. The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported on this event.

During the discussion, projects that have been implemented in Kyrgyzstan with the support of JICA were reviewed. Meeting participants noted that several long-term initiatives aimed at improving the living standards of the population have been carried out as part of the joint work.

Among the successful examples of cooperation are the "One Village - One Product" project and the JDS scholarship program offered by the Japanese government.

Issues related to the implementation of projects involving grant and technical assistance in areas such as transportation, healthcare, energy, and human resource development were also addressed.

According to information from the Cabinet of Ministers, JICA has implemented 43 projects in Kyrgyzstan, and in 2026, the agency will celebrate the 25th anniversary of its representation in the republic.
