During the visit, Kasymaliev was presented with the main areas of scientific work and projects of the institute, as well as information about the contributions of scientists to the study of mineral resources and the development of geological research in the country.
Additionally, Kasymaliev visited the library, examined unique exhibits in the museum, including dinosaur remains found on the territory of the republic, and checked the condition of workspaces and laboratories.
According to the institute's staff, the key aspects of their work remain fundamental and applied research in the fields of regional geology, mineral resources studies, physical geography, geoecology, and engineering geology.

He also noted that ministries should enhance cooperation with scientific institutions to implement modern technologies and improve the efficiency of addressing relevant issues in their respective fields.
During the visit, special attention was paid to issues related to the training of scientific personnel, research, and material and technical support, as well as the prospects for the further development of the institute.
