
The visit to the M. Adyshev Institute of Geology of the National Academy of Sciences took place under the leadership of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev.
The scientists of the institute presented the current areas of work, projects, and contributions to the study of the mineral resource potential of Kyrgyzstan.
The head of the cabinet got acquainted with the library, museum exhibits, including dinosaur finds, and also visited laboratories and working offices.
The Institute conducts both fundamental and applied research in the fields of regional geology, mineral resources, physical geography, geoecology, and engineering geology.
Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized the importance of geological research in the context of sustainable socio-economic progress of the country. He highlighted the need to support both fundamental and applied science, urging ministries to establish more active cooperation with scientific institutions for the implementation of new technologies and developments.
Issues of training scientific personnel, improving the material and technical base, and prospects for the further development of the institute were also discussed.
Following the visit, relevant instructions were given to the appropriate state bodies.
