According to this document, the Minister of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic has been granted the authority to sign agreements, including the ability to make amendments that do not affect the fundamental aspects.
Financial parameters of the project
- The loan from the EBRD will amount to up to 61.7 million euros;
- The grant from the EBRD will be 3 million euros from the Bank's Special Shareholders Fund;
- The project will be implemented through the National Electric Grid of Kyrgyzstan;
- The grant funds will be allocated for:
- 1.05 million euros for the construction of the overhead line;
- 1.95 million euros for the construction of the 500 kV substation in Balykchy.
The project aims to improve the reliability of the energy system in the northeastern part of Kyrgyzstan, increase the capacity of the main power grids, and ensure stable electricity supply. Its implementation is expected to create conditions for further development of energy infrastructure and integration of regional energy networks.
The completion of all project works is scheduled for the end of 2031.
