President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov noted that there are citizens who cannot pass the driving test even after 20 attempts. He made this statement during his visit to the State Center for Registration of Vehicles and Drivers.
According to information provided by the president, there were previously 275 private driving schools in the country, the quality of education in which left much to be desired, as reported by Kabar. Japarov emphasized that now, if a person is truly motivated to learn and makes an effort, they can pass the exam on the first or second try. However, there are also those who have attempted the exam 20 times without success. In the past, driving school staff often simply accepted money and assigned grades without paying attention to the students' knowledge. With the introduction of artificial intelligence, such practices have become impossible, the president explained.
During his interaction with citizens at the State Center for Registration of Vehicles and Drivers, the head of state shared a personal tragedy related to road accidents. He spoke about the death of his younger brother and his wife as a result of a traffic accident.
“They left behind four children who were injured but survived. In 2019, my eldest son also died in an accident. There are many cases like ours. To prevent tragedies with fatal outcomes, it is important to provide quality education on traffic rules. Ten months of training will pass quickly,” added Sadyr Japarov.
