According to him, the initiative to prepare the draft law was proposed in accordance with the president's decree on measures to attract investments in the green economy, aimed at developing projects in the fuel and energy complex.
Among the main proposals of the draft law is the abolition of the guaranteed tariff with a coefficient of 1.3 for electricity generated from renewable sources.
In addition, currently, electricity tariffs are set by the Cabinet of Ministers in the national currency, while the new draft law provides for the possibility of setting prices in foreign currency for investment projects and public-private partnership projects in the fuel and energy complex. This innovation is expected to improve the investment climate and attract foreign investments to the country.
The draft law also clarifies the concept of the preferential period for the maximum tariff on renewable energy sources and introduces a new term "auction," which will be used for selecting projects and determining tariffs through the reduction of maximum levels. This is intended to enhance the transparency of the selection process and improve the competitiveness of projects.
