- On the air of the radio, the Deputy General Director of OJSC "Chakan HPP" Kanat Askeev shared information about how locations for electric vehicle charging stations are chosen.

“The main criteria were proximity to power lines, transformers, and road infrastructure. We aimed to select sites that would ensure low connection costs and convenient access for drivers,” Askeev noted.

He clarified that the choice of specific locations depends on the intensity of vehicle traffic and the distance between charging stations.

“The average distance between points is 150–200 kilometers. Electric vehicles can travel from 200 to 400 kilometers on a single charge. Therefore, this year we plan to install six charging stations in the Issyk-Kul region, and in the future, the number of such stations will be increased,” the deputy director added.

In addition, Askeev discussed the operation of the already existing charging stations. “We signed a contract with Charge24 for the development of billing systems and software. Since the new program would cost about $240,000, we decided to collaborate with an already existing company. The allocated funds are directed towards the maintenance and support of the system,” he emphasized.
