In Kyrgyzstan, 14 projects under public-private partnership have been completed, with a total investment amounting to $3.9 billion. This was reported by Ulan Danilbekov, Deputy Director of the Public-Private Partnership Center, in an interview for a radio broadcast.

According to Danilbekov, one of the most significant projects is the construction of the new "Kelechek" tunnel at the Töö-Ashuu pass. Investments in this project reach $640 million, and work is currently underway on design and preparatory activities.

“The tunnel will feature a dual system and modern engineering solutions. Its length will exceed 11 km,” he noted.

Danilbekov also emphasized that the implementation of this project will ensure safe and uninterrupted transport movement, especially during the winter period and in adverse weather conditions. With the new tunnel, vehicles will be able to bypass the highest point of the pass, significantly improving the transport accessibility of the region.
