Turdumambetov, who planned to participate in the parliamentary elections in November 2025, confirmed that he submitted all the necessary documents to the Central Election Commission and paid a deposit of 300,000 soms. However, according to him, these funds have not yet been returned to him.
In addition, he reported that part of his team has already gone to Toktogul to open a campaign headquarters and start the election campaign. But on November 2, he claimed, he was detained by officers of the State Committee for National Security in Kara-Balta. After that, he was taken to Bishkek, where, under pressure, he was forced to sign a refusal to participate in the elections.
Turdumambetov added that after signing, he received a ban on publishing information about what happened on his social media and expressed concerns about possible provocations and pressure on his supporters and campaigners.
In his address, he also pointed to the possible involvement of other candidates in this incident, but emphasized that he hopes for a thorough investigation. In the opinion of the former deputy, initiating a criminal case could help clarify all the circumstances and roles of the participants in this situation.
He expressed hope for a review of the election results in constituency No. 14 and the possible appointment of a repeat vote.
Osmon Turdumambetov previously held various positions in the Tax Service, including head of the Moscow, Issyk-Ata, and Lenin districts. He was a deputy from the "Onuguu-Progress" party from 2020 to 2021.
It is worth noting that the elections for deputies of the VIII convocation took place on November 30 of last year.
