The statement of the founder of "Ayu Holding," Sharshenbek Abdykerimov, dated March 15, began to spread on social media on March 22. His relatives confirmed that the account on which the address was published indeed belongs to Abdykerimov himself, reports Azattyk.
In his statement, he claims that the former head of the Bishkek city department of the State National Security Committee, Eldar Jakypbekov, "carried out a terrorist attack" on his business.
Today I learned the news: one of the leaders of the authorities has been removed from office and Eldar Jakypbekov has been arrested — the person who, together with the employees of the GKNB under the leadership of Kamchybek Tashiev, organized a real terror against my company, against my business, against me.
According to the entrepreneur, these actions were carried out under the direction of the former head of the special services, Kamchybek Tashiev.
Abdykerimov also reported that after these events, he underwent five surgeries, suffered a stroke, and faced serious heart problems.
"How did a huge holding develop and provide jobs for thousands of people over thirty years? And how was everything destroyed and ruined in less than three years? These are events that will forever remain in my life," the statement reads.
He also noted that he is currently in London. This information was confirmed by his relatives in a comment to Azattyk.
Earlier, in September of last year, the GKNB reported that a number of large shopping and entertainment centers and industrial facilities owned by the founder of "Ayu Holding," Sharshenbek Abdykerimov, valued at more than 10 billion soms, were transferred to the state.
According to the special service, "Ayu Holding" had long evaded payment of mandatory taxes, social and other payments, registered part of its assets to affiliated persons, and provided government agencies with fictitious financial reports to legalize illegal income.
Among the transferred assets is a commercial building in Bishkek at 126 Toktogul Street, valued at over 95 million soms. The state also acquired the "AYU Grand" shopping center, valued at more than 4 billion soms, cottages on Issyk-Kul, and several other properties.
In 2023, President Sadyr Japarov reported that the alcohol and vodka plant of "Ayu" was being transferred to state ownership. According to him, the enterprise had not fully paid taxes and used counterfeit excise stamps.
The First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Daniyar Amangeldiev, stated at that time that the transfer of the enterprise to the state was voluntary. Since then, the GKNB has repeatedly reported the return of various assets related to "Ayu Holding" to the state.
