The Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan, Damir Osmonov, visited the village of Novopokrovka in the Ysyk-Ata district of the Chui region as part of a working trip.
During the visit, the minister familiarized himself with the progress of the major renovation of the building of the former hospital, where a regional maternity hospital with 100 beds is planned to be opened after the completion of the work.
According to the coordinator of health care in the Chui region, Almaz Askarov, funds from the stabilization fund have been allocated for the major renovation, and the completion of the work is planned for November of this year.
It was noted that currently, the Chui regional maternity hospital is located in a building that previously functioned as a kindergarten, which limits the possibilities for organizing comprehensive specialized medical care.
The implementation of the project will create more modern and compliant conditions for providing medical assistance to pregnant women and mothers, as well as improve the accessibility and quality of services in the field of maternal and child health in the Chui region.
The minister emphasized the importance of timely completion of the renovation work and instructed to ensure control over their quality execution.
