Asel Azamatova, in her post, claims that she has repeatedly been a victim of violence by Eldar Sulaymanov. She mentioned that in one instance, in the summer of 2022, after being beaten, she had to seek medical help, and the police accepted her statement. However, as Azamatova noted, no law enforcement officer contacted her to check on her condition.
Asel admitted that despite the difficult circumstances, she forgave her husband, as she was completely dependent on him. However, as she claims, the constant drinking, infidelity, and violence continued, which led her to decide to file for divorce.
The press secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Sultan Makilov, stated that investigations into this case have begun. "The ex-wife said, 'I will come after lunch.' When she arrives, we will clarify all the circumstances. We will review all the statements she previously submitted," he noted.
Eldar Sulaymanov, who is 40 years old, was elected as a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh in November 2025 from electoral district No. 5.
