The press secretary of the President of Kyrgyzstan, Askhat Alagozov, reported that representatives of the media have repeatedly approached him with questions about whether there will be any official statement from the authorities in response to the remarks made by Russian journalist Vladimir Solovyov.

He noted that such statements should be perceived as one of the empty and unserious assertions coming from Solovyov during his lengthy broadcasts on various topics.

Alagozov added that, considering Solovyov's status as a journalist and television host, adequate responses to his words could be provided by journalists or other interested parties.

If such statements were made by a deputy or a minister, then a response would be provided by representatives of the parliament or the government.

The press secretary also mentioned a proposal from one of the deputies to declare Solovyov a persona non grata, adding that there is an established procedure for this, and it will be interesting to see how the issue is addressed.

It is important to emphasize that, as can be seen, bilateral and multilateral relations between Russia and Kyrgyzstan, as well as with other Central Asian countries, are at a high level.

This is confirmed by mutual visits and cooperation within organizations such as the CIS, EAEU, and SCO.

In this regard, any such assumptions about tension have no basis.

Nevertheless, considering that Solovyov works for state television, his controversial statements, which sometimes provoke tension between nations, can cause confusion among citizens of friendly countries and, in some cases, require serious responses. The press secretary expressed hope that Solovyov's management would take appropriate measures," he noted in his social media message.
