In his address, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Akhror Burkhanov, urged Uzbek citizens in Iran to refrain from participating in rallies and demonstrations, avoid places of mass gatherings, and strictly adhere to personal safety measures as stated in the message.

Since December, protests have been ongoing in Iran due to the collapse of the national currency and a sharp increase in prices. Participants in these protests are demanding a change of government. According to human rights organizations, the death toll has exceeded 2,000 people, and more than 10,000 have been arrested. On January 13, U.S. President Donald Trump expressed readiness to assist the protesters in Iran, although he did not disclose the details of his measures.
