Recent statements by Vladimir Solovyov regarding the possibility of a military operation in Armenia have prompted a reaction from the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which summoned the Russian Ambassador, Sergey Kopyrkin, for explanations, reports Meduza.

In a broadcast that took place a few days ago, Solovyov stated that Russia should consider the possibility of using force to intervene in the affairs of Armenia and Central Asian countries, similar to the actions of the United States in Venezuela, disregarding international law, in order to prevent them from leaving Russia's "sphere of influence."

The Armenian foreign ministry noted that such statements contradict the spirit of friendly relations between Armenia and Russia.
