After recent statements by Solovyov calling for possible military intervention in Armenia, Russian Ambassador Sergey Kopyrkin was summoned to the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as reported by Meduza.
In one of his broadcasts a few days ago, Solovyov stated that Russia should "ignore international law" and consider military intervention in the affairs of Armenia and Central Asia to keep them within its "sphere of influence," similar to the actions of the United States in Venezuela.
According to Solovyov, "the loss of Armenia is a huge problem for us, and it is much more painful than the situation in Venezuela. […] If it was necessary to start a special military operation in Ukraine to ensure our national security, then why not consider similar measures in other countries within our sphere of influence?" - Meduza quotes him as saying.
In response to these statements, the Armenian Foreign Ministry delivered a note of protest to the Russian ambassador, expressing "deep outrage" over the remarks made on the state television channel. The ministry emphasized that such words contradict the spirit of friendship between Armenia and Russia.
