At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on February 5, Daniyar Amangeldiev spoke about the measures being taken in Kyrgyzstan to improve the smog situation.

Specific plans to combat this problem have been developed together with the parliament, including the necessary financial resources. As part of the gasification program, preferential loans are available, which citizens can obtain through two banks to connect to gas networks.

Attention is also being focused on greening — local authorities are actively engaged in this work.

“An important direction is the development of electric transport. In the country, electric vehicles are exempt from value-added tax, and within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union, a quota of 15,000 vehicles has been allocated. Currently, more than 200 electric vehicles are imported into the country daily,” added Amangeldiev.
