At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Toktobubu Ashymbaeva noted that people living near sewing workshops resort to burning fabric scraps to heat their homes.

According to her, such waste often has bright colors, which leads to significant air pollution when burned.

Daniyar Amangeldiev, the First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, added that using such materials for heating poses a serious environmental threat. He also reported that the Ministry of Nature conducts inspections and has the necessary resources. "Inspections of baths and heating systems in homes are carried out using drones, violations are identified, and fines are imposed. In addition, there is a waste processing plant that deals with their recycling," he emphasized.
