In the city of Manas, the construction of six new educational institutions is planned.

By the directive of President Sadyr Japarov, this year the construction of 36 schools will begin, including 20 in Bishkek, 10 in Osh, and 6 in Manas. All facilities are to be completed by September 1, when the new school year starts.

This information was presented at a meeting attended by the Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services Nurdin Oruntaev, the presidential representative in the Jalal-Abad region Tilek Tekebaev, and other officials.

At the sites of the future schools, representatives of the authorities reviewed the projects. Developers have been instructed to start work this week. Approximately 3 billion soms have been allocated from the republican budget for the construction of six schools in Manas.

"Considering the shortage of student places in Manas, work will begin in the coming days. The new buildings will meet the first category of seismic resistance. We plan to update the furniture in all 36 schools, moving away from wooden products in favor of modern technologies. The educational institutions will be equipped with video surveillance systems and solar panels. If the electricity generation exceeds the needs of the schools, the possibility of selling it is being considered," Minister Oruntaev reported.

The construction will be carried out without conducting tenders. Oruntaev explained that the general contractor will be the company "Kyrgyzkurulush," while other companies will work as subcontractors. This will help avoid embezzlement and ensure control over estimates and documentation at each site.

An additional building for 275 students will be constructed at secondary school No. 5 named after B. Osmonov, which is part of the municipal territorial administration "Dostuk." Currently, about 3,000 children study at the school, and the administration notes the need for expansion, as some classes are overcrowded — up to 55 students. The main building, constructed in 1965, has not undergone major repairs.

This year, not only will a new building be erected at the school, but a complete renovation of the old building will also be carried out. The presidential representative inquired about the results of the Republican Unified Testing (ORT) and urged the director to develop additional clubs.

The list of construction projects in Manas includes:

- MTU "Kok-Art": a new school for 375 students in the Ak-Tilek microdistrict on Dostuk Street.

- MTU "Kurmanbek": a building for 650 students on G. Mambetaliev Street (will free up schools No. 21 and No. 5).

- MTU named after T. Taygaraev: in the village of Choloq-Terek, a school for 275 students will be built on the site of the old building.
