Participants included Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baisalov, Minister of Education Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, as well as Minister of Science, Higher Education and Innovations Gulzat Isamatova and leaders of pedagogical universities.
The main topics of the meeting were the training of teaching staff, improving their qualifications, implementing new state and subject standards, and the need to strengthen methodological and pedagogical support.
Issues such as attracting international mentors and trainers, supporting students studying in pedagogical specialties, and preparing teachers proficient in English in the STEM field were also discussed.
Edil Baisalov emphasized the importance of the teacher's role in the education system, noting that the development of teaching staff should become one of the priorities of state policy. He also called for coordinated efforts from all stakeholders.
In turn, Minister Kendirbaeva pointed out the need to integrate the teacher training system into the global educational space. According to her, pedagogical universities should become leading institutions and pioneers in the reforms being implemented.
