Gulya Kozhokulova, a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, expressed dissatisfaction with the new currency exchange rules introduced by the National Bank. According to her, when exchanging amounts exceeding 100,000 soms, citizens are required to provide a certificate of the origin of these funds.

The deputy emphasized that such requirements create unnecessary bureaucratic obstacles for both individuals and businesses.

She noted: "Currently, in various sectors, including the Ministry of Construction, salaries reach 100,000 soms, and in some cases, up to 500,000 soms. This means that people will need to gather additional documents for currency exchange at banks. Why then implement digitalization if such restrictions exist? Why doesn't the National Bank support small and medium-sized businesses?" - said Kozhokulova.

In her opinion, this restriction is incorrect, and this issue should be discussed at a meeting of the budget committee of the Jogorku Kenesh to eliminate existing barriers.
