A collegium was held at the Ministry of Health with the participation of the Deputy Prime Minister
Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baisalov stated that the shortage of medicines in Kyrgyzstan is related to management failures. This announcement was made at the final collegium of the Ministry of Health for the year 2025.
During the meeting, current issues in the healthcare sector, achieved changes, and plans for the upcoming year were discussed.
Baisalov noted: "Our work is evaluated not by reports and plans, but by what the population and patients feel. The availability of medicines, the readiness of doctors, and the functionality of equipment are the main criteria. Problems with the supply of medications are a consequence of management errors. In 2026, we must ensure zero tolerance for disruptions in supplies, especially for life-saving medications."
