On January 29, Deputy Mayor Victoria Mozgacheva, along with the head of the Culture Department, Urmat Belekbaev, visited the new rehearsal hall.
"Today, the rehearsal hall has become an important creative space for several musical groups of the city hall. The large symphony orchestra, wind orchestra, and folk instruments orchestra regularly practice here," the city hall's press release states.
The orchestras follow a set rehearsal schedule, allowing them to systematically develop and prepare new concert programs. Previously, musicians had to rent spaces for rehearsals, but now comfortable conditions have been created for them, contributing to the cultural development of the city," the municipality added.
It is worth noting that in 2023, the city hall planned to demolish the building of the "Dubrovsky" restaurant; however, its owner decided to transfer it to municipal ownership. The building was valued at 48.5 million soms.
As a result of the signed agreement, the city hall received the restaurant building with an area of approximately 500 sq. m, and the previously leased land plot of 0.37 hectares was returned. In turn, the municipality promised to provide the tenants with another land plot.
