It was reported that the barriers located along the sidewalk on Alisher Navoi Street were broken and damaged.
In response, the contracting company OJSC "Aerodromdorstroy" carried out restoration work and put the barriers in order.
At the moment, the barriers have been restored, ensuring the safety of both pedestrians and drivers in this section of the road.
Turmush previously reported that the barriers on the sidewalk of A. Navoi Street were in poor condition less than a month after the construction work was completed.
According to the press service of the mayor's office, the barriers were damaged as a result of a collision with a vehicle. "In this section, the barrier was knocked down by a car. We informed the contractors that the barriers needed to be restored," the mayor's office noted. The wide six-lane road was built by OJSC "Aerodromdorstroy," with which a contract worth 390 million soms was signed.
Earlier, Turmush reported that on December 8, 2025, the section of Alisher Navoi Street intersecting with Alibek Datka and Kurmanjan Datka streets was opened after repair and restoration work.
The mayor's office temporarily closed this section for its expansion. After the work, the road became wider by one lane and now consists of five lanes. New asphalt has been laid on the sidewalks, and protective barriers have been installed. The head of the Osh City Road Administration, Zhenishbek Shonoев, stated that the repair work was carried out by one of the joint-stock companies. The complete cost estimate is not yet ready.
"Approximately 20 million soms were spent initially, but the exact estimate has not yet been approved," Z. Shonoев noted.
Additionally, the section of Alisher Navoi Street intersecting with Kurmanjan Datka and Gapar Aitieva streets has been expanded to six lanes. Thus, the opened section has five lanes, while the other parts of the road remain six-lane.
