These tow trucks, managed by the Department of Housing and Utilities, began operations on January 30.
The mayor of the city, Ernisbek Ormokov, personally checked the operation of the municipal tow trucks and emphasized the importance of adhering to the legislation in their use.
According to him, the opening of the impound lot is aimed at organizing the traffic situation in the city and ensuring compliance with parking rules, as well as increasing revenue to the city budget from fines.
“Cars that are parked incorrectly will be sent to the impound lot in accordance with the rules established by the traffic safety department. The cost of towing will be 1600 soms, and there will be a charge of 21 soms for each hour of storing the vehicle in the impound lot,” he added.
For the establishment of the municipal impound lot, 30 acres of land were allocated. This issue was previously discussed at a session of the city council. It was also reported that the tow trucks were acquired on lease, and the deputies agreed to the organization of the impound lot,” the official statement emphasizes.
