In Kyrgyzstan, the Soviet legacy and statehood are being rethought

The scientific analysis is key to understanding the current political situation in the country

A round table was held at the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan, gathering leading historians and political scientists to discuss the century-long history of the republic's development. The event, titled "100 Years of the Kyrgyz ASSR: Experience and Prospects," was conducted under the leadership of State Secretary Arslan Koychiev at the platform of the B. Jamgerchinov Institute of History, Archaeology, and Ethnology.

Conference participants examined archival materials that reveal the process of forming national identity during the Soviet period.

Koychiev emphasized the importance of a deep analysis of the events of 1926, noting that this would aid in understanding the current political architecture of the country. As a result of the meeting, scholars developed several conceptual ideas aimed at a comprehensive study of historical lessons for the future development of Kyrgyzstan.
