On Ch.Aitmatov Avenue, 16, a serious housing problem has arisen for local residents due to a fire that destroyed the roof of their home. This was reported by deputy Altynbek Kylychbaev at a meeting of the committee on housing, industrial policy, transport, as well as architecture and construction.

According to the deputy, the incident occurred in November, and the housing situation remains unresolved: the victims are forced to temporarily live with their relatives. The mayor's office has provided assistance to only 10 families among the affected. Kylychbaev noted that residents have taken the initiative to restore the house on their own, but they need to obtain permission from the Ministry of Construction for this, and all utilities are currently disconnected.

Deputy Minister of Construction Talantbek Imanakun uulu added that until 2020, there were up to 30 illegal constructions in Bishkek. Some of them were completed, others were halted, and some are still under construction. "Since 2020, we have been taking strict measures to prevent the construction of such facilities. We take responsibility and seek ways to complete already started buildings. For those buildings that have already been put into operation, we help resolve issues with water supply and electricity by issuing technical passports. We are actively working with such constructions," he noted.

Kylychbaev emphasized that residents are experiencing difficulties during the winter period and called for a prompt resolution of the problem. The deputy minister assured that they are ready to go to the site and quickly address the issues that have arisen.
