At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh Committee on Industrial Policy, Transport, Fuel and Energy Complex, Architecture, and Construction, which took place on February 3, Deputy Altynbek Kylchayev raised the issue of starting renovation in Bishkek.

Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services Talant Imanakun uulu reported that the process of approving the general plan is currently underway, and renovation will only begin after its approval.

Kylchayev reminded about the fire that occurred in a multi-story building at 16 Ch. Aitmatov Avenue in November, resulting in the roof burning and three people being injured.

He noted that since then, no repairs have been made in the building, and the residents have moved out. The city administration provided assistance to ten families, while the others are temporarily living with relatives. At the same time, the residents wanted to carry out repairs on their own, but the authorities disconnected the building from all utilities, leaving it without electricity and water, which caused dissatisfaction from Kylchayev.

In this regard, the deputy appealed to the Ministry of Construction with a request to consider including this building in the renovation program.
