
In connection with the recent tragedy that occurred in Sokuluk, where children drowned, authorities plan to install warning signs near water bodies, reservoirs, and other potentially dangerous places. This was reported by Mirbek Shermatov, head of the Training and Research Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, on the air of Birinchi Radio.
Shermatov urged parents not to allow children near such sites and recommended not to visit these places alone and without informing relatives. He also noted that dangerous situations can arise not only among children but also among adults.
In case of an emergency, it is important not to put oneself at risk, especially if there are doubts about one's abilities, and to seek help immediately. Beyshenbek Stalbekov, a representative of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, added that in the case of drowning, it is necessary to perform artificial respiration, lift the victim's head, and conduct cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Experts emphasized the need to observe safety during the winter period. Citizens were urged to be cautious when skiing, snowboarding, and using inflatable devices. In areas under the control of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Chuy Region, informational materials with safety recommendations and actions in emergencies have already been distributed. Before heading to the mountains or gorges, citizens are advised to check weather conditions in advance and monitor notifications from the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Additionally, the issue of constructing houses with consideration for seismic resistance was discussed on air. Shermatov emphasized the importance of strict adherence to building codes, consulting with specialists, and taking into account the recommendations of the Institute of Seismology when choosing materials and assessing the safety of the construction site.
