
The President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, has approved a new decree containing amendments to a previously adopted document regarding urgent measures to improve the organization of vehicle technical inspections. This was reported in an official statement from the press service of the head of state.
The changes pertain to the decree dated December 31, 2025, number 388. They aim to strengthen state control over the technical inspection process, enhance road safety, stabilize prices, and improve the quality of services provided to the population.
In particular, the decree stipulates that the state enterprise "Technical Direction Center" of the Main Department for Road Traffic Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be replaced by the State Center for Vehicle Registration and Driver Licensing, which is subordinate to the President's Office.
Additionally, in the text of the decree, the previously mentioned "Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic" will be replaced with "President's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic."
Furthermore, the list of bodies involved in the implementation of the decree has been expanded to include the State Center for Vehicle Registration and Driver Licensing under the President's Office.
The decree comes into effect upon its official publication.
