According to the new document, from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026, the state enterprise "Technical Center of the Main Department of Road Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic" has been appointed as the state operator for centralized control and improvement of the road safety system.
The existing accreditation certificates for technical inspection issued by the Kyrgyz Accreditation Center will remain valid until July 1. At the same time, during the validity of the decree, the extension of terms and issuance of new accreditation certificates for transport inspection will be suspended.
The tasks of the Ministry of Internal Affairs include:
- monitoring the implementation of the test mode until July 1;
- preparing proposals on the results of the test mode and presenting them to the presidential administration by September 1;
- ensuring the opening of technical inspection points and the issuance of safety certificates for structures throughout Kyrgyzstan in compliance with necessary standards, as well as equipping them with modern equipment and training specialists;
- together with the Ministry of Finance and other interested bodies, determining the sources of funding for the specified activities;
- in cooperation with the president's representatives in the regions and the mayors of Bishkek and Osh, organizing the allocation of land plots for the construction of technical inspection points.
