The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic has announced a large-scale project to install 20 thousand modern video cameras as part of the "Safe Country" initiative. This information was provided by representatives of the department.
Since 2022, a facial recognition system has been functioning at the Operational Management Center, which has already helped identify more than 3 thousand suspects and locate individuals who are wanted.
Currently, more than 3 thousand cameras provide round-the-clock monitoring, using artificial intelligence technologies to analyze the collected data.
The system demonstrates high efficiency even in conditions where people are wearing masks or glasses. When matches are detected, the information is promptly transmitted to the relevant services.
