On the first day of the tournament, Bektenov showcased his skills in the 10-meter Air Pistol discipline among juniors, where he achieved an impressive second place, demonstrating accuracy and consistency in shooting.
Another representative of Kyrgyzstan, Askhat Tokmokov, also showed a decent result in the adult competition, finishing in seventh place.
The competition features 385 athletes from 19 countries, with Kyrgyzstan represented by 16 shooters. The tournament will last several days, during which athletes will compete for medals in various disciplines and age categories.
