Local residents of Kok-Zhar are expressing concern over the planned construction of the Southern Bypass Road in Bishkek.

Deputy Dastan Bekeshev reported that villagers are afraid that the new road will affect their homes and agricultural lands. In this regard, a meeting was organized, where representatives of the akimat, investors, architects, and employees of the Ministry of Transport gathered to clarify the situation.

We remind you that the city hall stated that the implementation of the Southern Bypass Road project will only begin after the general plan for Bishkek is approved. The road, according to plans, will start in the west near the car market and will pass through such settlements as Kun-Tuu, Baytik, Zarechnoye, Besh-Kungey, the "Ala-Too" state farm, and Novopokrovka.
