Information about newly registered cases up to 2024 has been published in parliament
At a meeting of the Health, Labor, Women’s Affairs, and Social Issues Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, the First Deputy Minister of Health Aibek Matkerimov presented statistics only up to 2024.
According to him, the official data on newly registered cases is as follows:
- Down syndrome:
2022 — 135 cases,
2023 — 135,
2024 — 161; - Autism:
2022 — 99,
2023 — 90,
2024 — 82; - Cerebral palsy (CP):
2022 — 753,
2023 — 586,
2024 — 527.
Deputy Zhyldyz Sadyrbaeva noted that the presented data significantly differs from other official sources. She emphasized the need to create a unified electronic database to ensure accurate and comprehensive accounting of children with CP, autism, and Down syndrome in the country.
